30 min run with intervals

The pace that I had done was jog for 3 minutes and rest for 1. Rajan, Evan, and I were doing jogging together since our fitness levels are fairly close. For the first half of the run it was easy but as we kept on going I was getting lazy and I wanted to stop for a long time. It was real hard to keep going but I kept going because I wanted to set a good example for my partners and I didn't want to give a negative attitude. We chose a perfect pace to jog for 3 minutes but I barely got 6 laps. I had to use all the energy I had left and ran the whole lap. This method of running wasn't as good as my usual 30 min run but if I ever do it again I will try running for 4 min and resting for 1.

  1. It is actually perfect for hockey! Just like working out in the gym teaches muscles to grow and improve, interval run teach your body to work hard and recover quickly… just like hockey shifts!!! The plus of the group is that you felt responsible so you didn't quit… solo you may have made excuses. :)
